I've collected model horses since I was young and acquired these two woodcut-like horses through a flea market, but I've never known quite what they were. Based on your writing and pictures, I believe I have a Hartland woodcut thoroughbred mare and foal--but not a matching set! The mare is Ebony colored and the foal is Cherry. They have deep sentimental value for me (they were a gift from my now-deceased mother, who adored antiques and flea markets).
